Beautifully Restored 1931 Studebaker Commander Model '70 Sedan. These photographs were taken at the Studebaker Mansion on Ocean Blvd in Rye New Hampshire. This Automobile's Body was stripped with a scrapper with no chemicals. Two tone, Navy Blue and Black double stage paint with New vinyl top. All glass is in excellent condition. Rear view Mirror has Studebaker Electric clock that has been restored and keeps good time. For those cool night drives, keep warm with a optional, 2 speed Tropic Aire heater and electric motor runs smooth. All Chrome is Triple plated and is mirror finish. Radiator cap, of Flying Bird, is Stainless Steele and was made by Don Sommer. Interior is original Mohair and is in Beautiful Condition. Carpets are also excellent and are not torn,stained or worn. All gauges work ,although the King Seeley Gas gauge does not function. Engine is original and has had a full service, All hoses have been replaced,cap, points,rotor, plug wires and spark plugs are new. All fluids have been changed and a new Fram optional oil filter was changed. Complete new exhaust that I just changed.There is absolutely no rust anywhere on the frame and still has original paint, Wheel bearing have just been serviced. on this Automobile. Brakes are new and are the adjustable Bendix spring type. Hickory Wheels have been restored by Amish Wheel and are in beautiful condition. Tires are new 550/ 600-19 Firestone and are brand new with new tubes and flaps. This Studebaker was featured in the Studebaker Review 2018 Nov,December and there are many pictures of this car and is on the back cover of the Review. This Studebaker can be viewed by appointment in Dracut Ma. It is in Heated storage and I encourage your inspection, of this fine automobile...Great for shows and tours.
