1928 CHEVROLET LANDAU (COUPE) 42,000 ORIGINAL MILES I am offering in this BUY IT NOW auction an opportunity to acquire one of the cleanest, completely unmolested, most original nearly 100 year old Chevys in the United States for under $20,000. I bought the car from an estate of the deceased owner in O'Fallon, Illinois whose extensive car collection was as fine as any I had ever seen totaling more than 72 vehicles all dating before 1948. The Chevy underwent a two year (no expense spared) rotisserie nuts and bolt restoration in the late 1980's and has been driven only 60 miles in the past four decades and was stored in a heated warehouse for all of the past 52 years and remains in excellent overall condition aesthetically and mechanically (but does drive like a 100 year old car with its mechanical brakes and unpowered steering and all). The paint now has crackling but there is absolutely no rust, dents or dings or body filler anywhere on the body or hardware and the undercarriage of the automobile looks completely unused, it even has the original owners manual (pictured on seat). Also, the gas tank and gas lines are all brand new as are the belts and hoses replaced just a few months ago. The interior is also all original with the factory mohair fabric seats (no rips or tears and only slight wear) and interior mohair walls still in place with very little wear also featuring the original oak wood floors installed in the vehicle in Detroit more than 90 years ago, also included is the original hand cranking bar to start the car manually if desired. The car had an original 42,000 miles when the restoration began so this would be the original miles on the vehicle today.
