This 1923 Buick Series 23 Model 6-45 is a five-passenger touring car which we have owned since 1979. A refurbishment in burgundy with black fenders and trim, a tan top, and a black interior was completed in the early 1990s. The car was originally green when purchased and was repainted to its current burgundy with black accents. The wheels feature wood spoke, steel rims, Buick center caps, and six-ply 32×4 tires. A spare outer rim without a tire is located at the rear. The running boards feature green panels and step plates with rubber inserts, and a toolbox is mounted to the passenger side. The Buick features a newer tan fabric Phaeton-style roof as well as turn signals located on the front and rear bumpers. The bench seats were re-stuffed and upholstered in black vinyl during the 1990s refurbishment, while green paneling covers the floorboards. Controls consist of a wood-rimmed steering wheel with spark advance and throttle adjusters, a floor shifter, a handbrake, and a Flash-All 999 turn signal stalk. Stewart instrumentation includes a five-digit odometer reading 6k miles, with actual mileage unknown. Engine is a 242ci inline-six paired to a three-speed manual transmission, and the car is equipped with an electric fuel pump, turn signals, and a universal carburetor. Additional accessories include a German Messko radiator cap, dual rear-view mirrors, and a spotlight.
