CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1972 Chevrolet Chevelle . Condition is Used. Yes, we all love Chevelles, and no, they're not all priced out of reach. This very cool and very Orange 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone packs a strong-running 355, a smooth-shifting automatic transmission, and a street-fighter restomod look that everyone can love, all for a very reasonable price. If you want the hardware and the killer look, this is a car you can buy and still have room to put your own stamp on it. Quite honestly, you just can't go wrong with a bright Lamborghini Orange Chevelle. There are some who like the look of the twin-headlight 1970 models, but you can count me among those who prefer the single headlight setup on this '72. The clean orange paint certainly helps, and the bodywork is familiar to anyone who has been to a cruise night, from the peaked front fenders to the gently bulging quarters. Black SS logos, a cowl-induction hood, and a blacked-out grille are all SS trademarks that work best on a orange car. A solid driver, the sheetmetal is straight, the gaps are great, and the details are right; The grille, chrome bumpers and trim look to have been recently freshened and it all works together to create a higher-end driver grade muscle car with plenty of good looks, making this the ideal car to go out prowling on Friday night. The interior is 100% business with a light flair for the modern, starting with the highly-sculpted bucket seats up front, a horsehshoe shifter inside the middle console, and an uber-clean presentation. The upholstery is close to the original material and style, so it looks right, and the door panels have been finished to match, giving it a very clean, cohesive look. Newer black carpets tie it together nicely and make it feel plusher than you'd expect and the headliner fits very well. The instrument panel is a stock piece with original gauges, and it's joined on the dash by a retro-style AM/FM/AUX radio, and a trio of aftermarket units underneath, so the whole dash looks clean and professional. The stock steering wheel has a nice rim that's easy to grab and the shifter falls to hand easily, so driving is an absolute pleasure. The trunk is also neatly finished with gray spatter-paint, and houses a sub for the stereo and full-size spare tire. Of course, the engine itself is somewhat modified, with a remote starter, including a 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, HEI distributor, and a set of long-tube headers to help make torque. It's really nicely finished, too, with Lamborghini Orange paint, plenty of chrome, and very clean inner fenders and firewall that really set the engine off nicely. Power steering and power front disc brakes are always welcome in a full-sized bruiser like this, and the aforementioned TH400 automatic makes it perfect for cruising. The X-pipe dual exhaust uses Magnaflow mufflers for a great sound that never gets annoying and someone obviously invested a lot of time, effort, and money in the undercarriage, because it's rare for a car in this price range to look this good. The stance is low and mean and it sits on slick BOSS wheels and 265/35/20 performance radials. This is a heck of a lot of bang for the buck, and it definitely looks the part. If you like Chevelles, horsepower, and getting attention, there aren't many better combinations than this.
