CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |
---|---|
1970 Plymouth Barracuda . Condition is Used. MAKE NO MISTAKE - I want to describe everything possible about my dream car here. I'm older and have to move on and need the room and this is the car I wanted since the 70's but never got until I was supposed to pass away and got the car from a deler in Buffalo. Also I didn't pass away and somehow got better from late colon cancer in 2010.HERE ARE THE DETAILS.... First think is the car starts up EVERYTIME and I've driven it around my block almost every single week for 10 years. The car runs so good and I would even say if you want to drive it home from South Florida ( west of Fort Lauderdale ) I don't see any problem but the furthest I've ever driven it has been about 30-40 miles with no problems. Sometimes if I don't start it for some reason for a month it still starts up and idols PERFECT. EVERYTIME it just plain idols perfectly !It was on the corner of the cover of MOPAR Mag I think in March of 1994 and there is a pic and there is a pic also when it came in perfect shapeIt does have a newish carb I put on 3 years ago and my shop changed I think the rods so it's not all original but runs beautiful. The tires are also pretty new and have about 50 miles on them - from me driving the car around the block almost every week. The Battery is also new from about 6 months ago. The car has all the paperwork that I got with it. I think there are at least 2 build sheets, maybe 3 but there are 2 I put in the pics. If I wasn't older, I'd love to fix the car up and redo the paint and make it a beauty again. SO HERE IS THE INFO : These cars usually go for around 32-36k at the MECUM and BARRETT JACKSON auctions but in this shape it's probably worth between 13-18 not in the auction and I know I have it priced at 22k but I want everyone to know everything about my dream car that I now have to let go. It is a PROJECT CAR if you have the time or if you have a shop you can probably put on the new metal and paint and make it a winner again. The floor boards seem solid but I'm not that kind of expert. The Trunk leaks so it gets water in it.The Dashboard has a crack.I'm not sure of the true miles but it seem right from what I was able to track when I first got it but then again I don't know and it wouldn't surprise me if it's not true but the odometer works fine and it was in pretty great shape when I got the car in 2009-2010 when it was my #1 bucketlist item when I was going into hospice. There is multiple rust places from front to back and I don't mind to video anyone in to see me go outside and start it right up and drive it around but to also show you all the rust. The hood has rust. The Trunk has rust. The doors have rust. The vinyl shows bubbles coming up so it probably has rusting. The seats I need to take pics of but they are decent for a driver car but not if you need it perfect again. They have the usual splitting on the side. The seat belts just need the adjustment to they can roll in and out the way they should.Again IT DRIVES GREAT. I even thought about paying a tow bill if someone got stuck driving it to another state if it didn't make the trip but we don't know how someone drives but you can read into my brutal honesty about the car. My whole life is all REPUTATION.The driver door seems to need an adjustment although I know how to close it so it closes everytime. I want to put up more pics to show all the bad points of the car so you know what you are getting but for a project car you can have a nice driver or probably make a few thousand dollars or so, if you have a body shop person. In the pics is a photo of my 1985 RX7 that I've been asked to sell for years but didn't want to. The RX7 has a true 43k miles and is 6000 firm. The CUDA again has lots of rust so the whole hood probably needs changing as does the truck and maybe the doors but I think the doors can be brought back as well as the fenders. It has been slowly rusting for 10 years. It came to me in near perfect shape. My friends come over all the time and drive it around the block and sometimes down the road and back. But the time is here for old man to scale down. I did have a lot of cars but this was my favorite and I hope it goes to a nice home and can see some pictures after it is made near perfect again. I've had Hagerty insurance on it for 10 years now. Also it has a Lojack in there somewhere but I belive the Lojack will need a new battery from what I've read and then of course a subcription but that's up to you but the Lojack is in there. Please know what you're getting and I don't mind to take many more pics for you that I will send you if we can get on the phone or something. I did put up one picture of it in front of my old house when I kept it there in the garage but it has been at the house I'm in now for about 7 years so you can see how nice it really was until my days of taking care of things went downhill. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions and if you don't want to drive it home you will need to send a transport after all the proceeds are payed within around a week. If you send a truck the car will drive front or back either way right up on the ramp, no problem and also idle PERFECTLY. You can see my perfect feedback as well so please make sure you look at the rusty pictures but if you do have the ability to paint and do body work, you either have a great looking car or should make a very very nice profit. If you want to pay in cash we can meet at the police station up the block and you can drive the car home but I'd rather have a check and deposit it first for a day or two before you send a truck. I've been here with the same phone and home for 37 years so I'm known around here with a great reputation. Please if you buy our sweet car, take care of it and get the shine back on here. Thank you( more pics to follow so you can see the inside ) |
