For sale is this beautiful 1978 Jeep CJ7 Renegade in the rare factory color of Cumberland Green. This is probably one of the finest examples of a rust free, southern, seventies model CJ?s that we?ve ever had and it will set the bar pretty high for the future here as far as quality and originality go. It represents very well and as much more than your run of the mill, driver quality Jeeps. It appears to be a mostly original Jeep from the mechanicals to the interior and has almost every option you could get on a late seventies CJ. It has been freshly repainted in its original color of Cumberland Green and sports hard door and hard top with what appears to be a factory or dealer installed sunroof. It is powered by an awesome AMC 304 V8 that provides more power than this Jeep ever needed and runs out strong with a good sound. As usual, we didn?t buy this Jeep new from the dealer in 1978 but the still riveted data plate on the firewall decodes exactly as this Jeep is down to the paint color and everything including the Quadra Trac equipment is still there and functioning. The Jeep was represented as a 31,000 mile original Jeep by the seller and the title when we purchased and it very well may be, just judging from how pristine it is but we haven?t had it since new so we can?t say for 100% sure. What we can say is that this is one of the absolute best examples of a late seventies CJ that we?ve come across and you could drive it anywhere or put it in a collection.
