| 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 454 for sale in time for 50th anniversary of First Generation Monte Carlos. The car runs exceptionally well with strong 454 engine. Car sounds, drives, handles great, and has a beautiful original paint color and cool original interior/color combination. Garage kept and driven once per week as part of well cared for collection. Original SS car with 1 older respray. Paint in good condition with 2 minor scratches. Solid roof and body with excellent under carriage and newer exhaust. Original interior. Recent work done in March 2020: Professionally rebuilt the Rochester Carburetor, Replaced Shocks and Springs, Realignment. Fall 2018: Replaced Disc Brakes, Rear Brakes Serviced, Clay Bar Detailed. Car was produced in GM's Flint Plant so I do not have the build sheet. I acquired from a private collection in TX. Note: Engine is a correct a CE stamped block 1970 454 (dealer replacement engine for original block) produced at GM's Tonawanda plant. Car has the original drive train: CRK code 2.56 POSI rear. SS Authentication details include the drive train, front sway bar (larger diameter for SS), original/old SS badges and remnants the auto leveling system (NOS shock protector plates on rear axle) only equipped on Monte Carlo SS and overall unmolested originality of the car. Disclosures on condition: 2 small scratches, a few slight milometer sized bubbles in one typical area for 1970 model year in upper rear quarter panel (by vinyl roof however, roof is solid), head liner needs to be replaced ($800 repair - didn't want to wait for new OEM headliner to come in before sale). Happy to discuss any of these small disclosures.Note: this SS has a rare front bench seat option for SS car vs. buckets. An original set of NOS shocks and air tank for leveling system (not installed) are included. Really love the car but would like to sell to move on to next classic car on my bucket list.
