CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Up for auction is my 1977 MGB. Locally purchased and owned since new here in Charlotte NC. Well taken care of her entire life with only 96,563 original miles on the clock. Original engine so she is a true numbers matching car. Not your average MGB you please take time to read the auction in it's entirety. This a true turn key car and needs nothing at this time to my knowledge. Heritage: I purchased the car locally from a person who owned her for nearly 25 years. Car was purchased here locally in Charlotte in 1977 and I have most of the original paperwork including the dealer handbook with buyers information along with many receipts going back to the 70,s. Mechanical s: The car runs great and drives very nicely. Car starts right up at the touch of the key. Runs drives great with no know issues , smoke or noises. Car holds excellent oil pressure both when cold and warm. Recently serviced with a fresh tune up, oil change, oil filter and air filter. Strong brake and clutch pedals. Engine is "Drum" tight and I've never seen a single drip of fluid under the car anywhere. 5 new tires where just installed including the spare. Engine bay is as original as you've ever seen. Untouched and still retains all the emission and smog equipment. You don't see / find them this nice very often. Gauges: All gauges are correct "Smith" brand. Original clock still works !! Electrical's: This area is in excellent good condition with the following items in proper working order. Head lights work ( high and low beam ), front maker lights work, front indicator lights work, front side markers work, front running light work, rear running lights work, rear indicator lights work, rear side maker lights work, rear brake lights work, rear back up lights work, licence plate lights works, trunk light works, radio works and yes the horn works. Exterior: The car shows well in the photos and presents herself well in person. This is reported to be the original paint on the car and while I'm no expert I've checked the car over and believe it to be so which makes her very rare.. The body is exceptionally straight with good door, hood, trunk and panel fit as seen in the photos. Has a few small paint chips as one would expect due to the cars age but nothing in my opinion that detracts from the cars overall look. All chrome is in excellent condition as is all the original Triplex windshield and door glass. Newer chrome MG logo door sill plates. I find no evidence of any rust, rust repairs or paint bubbles on the car. She sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or signs of the dreaded "left" side lean. All exterior locks ( doors & trunk ) work using the key. Very nice chrome luggage rack. Wheels are very nice with new MG center caps, new chrome trim rings and are wrapped in new tires with only about 50 miles on them. Interior: As you can see its in nice overall condition as seen in the photos. Soft Top: The soft was replaced about a year or 2 ago and is in very nice condition Trunk: The trunk is rock solid. Has original jack & stowage bag. Very nice spare tire wrapped in a new tire which matches the 4 new tires on the car. Underbody: The underbody is in excellent condition as is the interior floors and frame of the car. This is a Zero rust / rust repair car. Very rare to find one this solid and original.
