This car was just purchased from it's long term owner's widow from the state of Alabama. It's showing an original low mileage of 55,284 and comes with maintenance and repair receipts. The car was quality repainted at one point in it's original color in the early 1990's, and also had a soft top replacement at that time, on which is largely a completely original car.The body on this car is extremely good. It's accident-free and very rust-free with a perfect bonnet/nose area. Panel gapping all the way around is per factory with no fit issues, uniform gaps, great door fit. The paintwork is very glossy with a great finish, in the correct Jaguar color. There are some light patchy spots on the hood, and some microblistering mainly on the car's rear, possibly due to garage humidity or an incorrect car cover. There's also a few chips from normal use, but the appearance of the car at 10 feet is impressive. Chromework appears to be completely original to the car and in very good to excellent shape overall. Most of the rubber is real nice. Some pieces are original and could use replacement at this point. The glass is in very nice condition.The car's interior trim is very original. The dashboard facia and top pad is perfect. The carpets look to be original except with replacement footwell pieces. The original hardura, rear 1/4 panels and door panels all look very good. The car's original black leather seats are very comfortable. They're showing show shrinkage and fade due to their age, but may respond well to dyeing and conditioning to revive them. The soft top is a quality replacement Robbins that fits the car well and is in very good condition. The trunk kit is new and crisp in correct biscuit and has just been fitted. The car still retains it's original spare factory-supplied Dunlop tire with rim in perfect condition !Mechanically, this car is excellent. The engine starts quickly and easily on choke with no noises or smoke. It feels 100% healthy, revs well and hard, idles well and has all the symptoms and sounds of a low-mileage unit. The suspension, wheels and tires, steering all feels very good and the car floats effortlessy and beautifully along the road with tightness and safe feeling about it. We have just serviced the braking and fuel systems.
