It is visually stunning in its original Marina Blue Poly. This Corvair is ready for concours level competition or to be used for touring. You'd search long and hard to find an example this nice, and in the right color combination. Of interest, the name Corvair is a word that was created in 1954 for a Motorama prototype and is the combination of names Corvette and Bel Air. This Corsa was restored from 2005 through 2010 in North Carolina. The car comes complete with documentation, including restoration receipts, the owners manual and warranty information. Cosmetically, the Corvair is in beautiful condition that is ready for show. The Marina Blue Poly paint is vibrant and striking. The chrome and badging along with the stock sport wheels compliment the paint. The paint and chrome are as new and in excellent condition. The interior is also blue and looks great with the flat black and chrome used through the dashboard and door panels. The interior is also in as-new condition with only a couple large scratches on the vinyl when the rear seat is folded flat to hold luggage or other large parcels not otherwise in the trunk. The seats are otherwise excellent. The instruments work well with only the radio not functioning. Even at 6'3" the interior is roomy and comfortable. Driving the Corsa is where the real pleasure starts. It feels as new. It is tight and free of rattles. It has great acceleration and shifts well through the gears. The syncromeshed four-speed manual transmission is nice and tight and handles the 180 hp well. The engine has a couple normal leaks, but nothing out of the ordinary for a Corvair. The mechanical restoration was performed by Papa J's Toy Shop and the paint and body were done by Purdue Body Shop in Greensboro, NC. The Corvair flew through our inspection and a report is available on request. This was one of seven cars sent to us from a friend and consignment client in Oregon. For more information and details, call, text or email Harry Clark at 1.602.245.7200 or . The Corvair is available for viewing at our Phoenix showroom.
