This is a great car…not one of those perfect trailer queens, but a fun driving old Ford. It came from southern California where an older guy was restoring it and unfortunately passed away halfway through the project. It has the original mohair interior and a rebuilt flathead with less than 100 miles on it. Runs, steers, stops and is Bonnie and Clyde FAST! I’ve had it over 10 years and had the dash and window garnish woodgrained by the master painter Lauren Matley of Arizona. The car was also painted in Arizona and is Ford 1952 Palisade green acrylic lacquer with clear coat and I have ½ gallon of the green left. The hood panels work great even without the missing front radiator bracket which is easy and cheap. I put on dual exhaust from Red’s Headers, but it still needs both tail pipes. The wheels are the original 17 inch, but I have some 1935 16 inch wire wheels that most Hot Rodders prefer. The tires are old, but have held air for all the years I’ve owned the car. There is some cracking on the sidewalls, but they seem good. The back window glass is in the riser, but needs to be adjusted. I took it out to get a new one, but never did. The rear floor pan had been replaced and is not original, but is in great shape. Door bottoms are great and the car has no rust. The headliner was replaced before I owned it and is good, but not a great installation. The top outside fabric was replaced by the previous owner and is in excellent condition. The rubber trim is missing and I never bought one..I rebuilt the wiper motor years ago and it tested fine. There is not a vacuum nipple on the intake manifold, but I did run a new vacuum line. I would never drive this car in the rain anyway! The grille shows some surface corrosion on some of the bars, but it is not serious damage. There is a small amount of corrosion on the bottom of the chrome surround. I tested the horns last year and one worked great and the other was not very loud. The rumble seat back rest has a small tear that doesn't show could be repaired. 2 hub caps came with the car…I never used them. I selling the car because I lost storage so I can’t take any trades...cash only. I’m happy to help with loading the car with your shipper. I’ll take more photos in the next few days. Let me know if you have any questions. |
