Very rare factory X33 RS Z28 born with code 76 Daytona Yellow exterior with code 714 Yellow Houndstooth interior. Documented by Jerry McNeish when found. At the time of certification, JM said it was one of three that he had seen in this combination. This car retains it's original, never removed cowl tag and was born a rally Sport Z28 with zl2 cowl hood. This is a large auction Friday or Saturday car. The car was sold new at Joe V Clayton in Arab, AL. I purchased it from the owner of a very well known performance dealer. It was the owners personal project. It's a fairly well known car since it was discovered 10 plus years ago. The car has just came off a multi year, nut and bolt restoration. There are several pictures documenting the work along the way. Everywhere you look is ethier new or restored original. This car was completely disassembled. NOS sheet metal was used where needed. The body work was done by a high end restoration facility. The paint was applied by a GM dealership paint facility. When the car was disassembled, pictures were taken of the factory primer and overspray on the underbody and that was duplicated. There is no undercoating etc on the car. The drivetrain is a date coded, real DZ block with all correct internals. Recently rebuilt with only break in miles. Correct dated 4053 DZ carb. Correct 472 intake. Original, rebuilt radiator. Deep groove pulleys. Dated 837 alternator. Dated 480 distributor. Replated 9204 booster with 309 master cylinder. Original Vin stamped to the car M20 Muncie professional rebuilt with stronger M23 internals. Original dated BU 3.73 posi 12 bolt rear. Correct YH rally wheels. Correct Firestone sports car 200 tires.
