Job Loss Forces sale of my 1977 Toyota FJ40I was planning on keeping and restoring this but need the cash instead.I just got started with it and have done some great things to it. In the last 60 days I've spend $5,000 on upgrades:Everything purchased from CoolCruisers.com4 Inch Lift Kit:HFS (Hell for Stout) ShocksHFS Steering StabilizerHFS Heavy Duty Leaf Springs - Made Specifically for the FJ40HFS Shackles HFS Tie RodsHFS Front Bumper with Winch PlateToyota Weatherstrip Kit for TopAll New Bolts for top, rear doors and fender flaresNew Rear taillights and rock guardsRear Diamond Plate Corners - Coated by Line-XNew Brake Master CylinderNew Brake LinesOther Details:350 V8 SBC - Starts Immediately and doesn't leak a dropNew Edlebrock 4 bbl CarbNewer Intake Manifold4 Speed transmissionVery Nice Alpine Stereo and 4 speakers33x12.50 BFG TiresRust? Of Course there is some. I took pics of the spots in the body. Frame is solid. Yes there was some rust in the rear quarters before I put the diamond plate on.Driveable? Of Course. I've had it on the highway but as you know these are geared pretty low and they are not very fast. 60-65 mph tops? Speedometer is not working. There is no end to what you can do to these things and what you can spend on them. That's why some bring over $50K. My goal is to minimize my losses but I have to sell this so I'm starting the bidding low and will just see where it goes.Feel free to call if you want to know more.(913)271-7100 |
