CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
This is a 1966 mustang coupe disassembled. I had a good friend that bought an old Dodge dart that he was rebuilding so I got the fever and bought this mustang. We helped each other working on our cars which was a lot of fun, he suddenly passed away very unexpected and I lost interest in this car. As you can see in the photos I have sanded the body almost all the way, and one of the finders. This is a complete car minus the hood and the front and rear glass and gas tank everything else is here. The car had a 6 cyl. in it and I was going to convert it over to a 289 V-8. I have 2,- 289 engines as you can see in the photos. The blue one has been completely rebuilt and has never been off the engine stand, this is the one I was going to put in the car when I ran across the red one which came out of a 66 that was rebuilt during restoration of the car. The guy that had it decided to go bigger so he pulled it out and put a 351 in his car, the motor only has a handful of miles on it, both motors go with the car I am selling. The blue motor has a stamp that reads C40E-605F and 4F16 which i believe is the early motor that was in the 65's that came out in 64. It has a 5 bolt bell-housing bolt pattern that came out in the early 65 model cars. The red motor is stamped C6AE-6015C and 7F1 which I believe is a 66 model motor and has a 6 bolt bell-housing pattern on it. If I'm wrong someone please correct me on this. I have the exhaust manifolds for it, an extra intake manifold, extra carb, and valve covers. I have new in box radiator support for it, someone cut a hole in the original. I bought a 6 bolt pattern bell-housing automatic transmission for it, I know nothing about it, I was going to have it rebuilt. I also have an extra 5 bolt bell-housing that could be used on the blue motor, wasn't sure which motor I was going to use so I was good either way. The car is in good condition for it's age, shock towers are solid as a rock, the floor has been replaced up to and including the front seat, the 2 floor pans are thin with pin holes in them but not a total rust-out. The area that needs the most attention is the passenger side rear quarter panel. The seats are in very good condition, ok for a daily driver car. If there is anything else you need to know please ask before bidding. I'm not trying to make a fortune on this car, just trying to get most of my money back. A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due within 24 hours auction end, remainder due within 3 days. I reserve the right to end auction early as the car is for sale locally. If you don't intend to buy please do not bid, Listings are not free! Thanks for looking!
