1965 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 only 7,020 miles on a total restoration. Inline 6-cyl engine w/ dual carbs - 4-speed manual transmission with electric overdrive. Engine, carburetors and transmission were built by Tim Phillips in West Bend, WI. The car drives and handles excellently and shifts with ease. New electronic ignition was installed. The old style canister oil filter system was replaced with a new spin on conversion. The old system has been retained in the interest of keeping all original equipment. It will be included with the sale of the car. The car was totally disassembled and stripped to bare metal before being prepared for new black base coat, clear coat exterior paint. All fasteners used in the restoration have been replaced with stainless steel. The new black vinyl interior has silver piping. New black soft top with zip open rear window. Fold down package tray has been restored, new carpet, new floor mats, interior wood trim refinished. Review mirror sits on a walnut framed battery operated clock. New Kuhmo power star 758 tires. Size 165/80/15 on new Dayton D45215 x 4.5 in. chrome 60 spoke wire wheels. The spare wheel is full size 60 spoke power coated grey. Knock-off hubs. All new hydraulics and braking system, new wiring harness, new stainless exhaust, new springs, new shocks, new electric fuel pump. All chrome was either re-plated or replaced. Heritage certificate is included. Also the removeable support frame for a tonneau cover is included, but no tonneau. Car hard cover owner’s manual and two repair manuals are included with the purchase. This car has been kept in a heated garage since restoration. More pictures are available.
