1971 Ford F250 Sport Custom Explorer from Southern California. The truck had a camper in the back most of its life. When I bought the truck 2 years ago it had been parked under a carport on the side of a house in Fresno California since 2007. The truck would start, run drive etc. but it needed some maintenance. The truck was shipped to Durango Colorado 8-20-18. The codes are: Paint Code M1- Calypso Coral / Wimbledon White (Acrylic Paint) F-253 - Truck Weighs 6100 pounds Trim Code C4 - Pure White Pastel Parchment Vinyl Transmission Code G - C6 Automatic Axle Code 37 - Dana 60 3:54 Ratio 390 V8 Motor 180 HP @ 4000 RPM VIN# F25 -F250 H - 390V8 K - Built in Kansas City L88077 - Built June 1971 Recent work: 12-06-18 New oil and filter, new power steering pump and hoses, new belts, new key cylinder, new coolant, new steering wheel, repaired transmission shifter linkage, full service including chassis lube. Work was done at Durango Muffler at the cost of $947.55. 05-06-20 Carburetor rebuilt, new spark plug wires, repair ignition coil, replaced vacuum caps, new ignition control module, flushed and refilled rear differential, new wheel cylinders, flushed the brake system, lubed chassis, new valve cover gaskets, new air filter, new Continental Battery, new battery tie down and the steering column was repaired. The work was done at Thumper Racing at the cost of $1474.81. All work orders and parts recipes will be included in the sell. When I took the truck to Thumper Racing I told them to do whatever it takes to get the truck roadworthy and reliable. The truck now starts, runs, drives and stops very well. Since it has been off the road for 13 years I expect that a little shake down time is due but it's ready to drive as is. The truck is very solid, complete and mostly original. All the running lights work, the hazards work but the blinkers do not, I expect it needs a blinker relay. The shifter has to be in a certain position to start so it will probably need a neutral safety switch installed. The truck is equipped with air conditioning and AM radio but neither work. There are a few dents, dings and scratches but the truck is very solid and I can send more pictures to an interested buyer. The tires are a matching set of four 245/16's that are at about 35% tread. The interior is stock but worn and the seat has been covered with a Pendleton blanket that was a store display in a Pendleton Store in San Marcos Tx. The truck has a dealer installed rear towing bumper made by Ricks Hitch Works in Phoenix Arizona and a really nice dual exhaust system was installed by the previous owner. The dual tanks work and switches from tank to tank, the gauges work as far as I can tell and the original floor covering is still there. The only 2 areas of rust on the truck are a small spot inside the bed on the inside lip right in front of the passenger side wheel well due to the camper sink overfill line draining onto that area and the other is on the bottom lip of the tailgate due to it being open with the camper on top. The truck is neat and clean and ready for the next owner. Clean California title. With new tires I would drive it home. Trading is possible. Opinions differ but I offer this truck as a solid truck and I think the new owner will be pleased.
