Mechanical Our COPO has the original numbers matching L30 327 cubic inch V8 engine that was factory rated at 275 horsepower and still rests under the hood. It has the original 4 speed transmission and 12 bolt rear as well as many of the small components like distributor alternator and such. Interior The interior is excellent and several items have been replaced as needed like the front seat covers, package tray, and door panels and the steering wheel is in excellent original condition. All the interior looks great with the twin bucket seats, gauges in the dash, Am/Fm Radio, carpet, and original 4-speed shifter on the floor. Exterior This Camaro COPO was purchased new at Jack Head that has been a California car since new with original black plates. The original owner wanted a new Verdoro Green Firebird but none were available so he ordered the Camaro from the local dealer. For years it remained on the same street in California with only two owners. The outside is virtually rust free and we can only find a few imperfections near the lower rear passenger quarter. The hood and from the doors back look to be original metal and the front fenders and header are believed to have been replaced at one time. All glass looks to be original, bumpers original as well as trim and lenses. It has a new black vinyl top and the trunk looks nice with the original spare tire, jack, and tools. Conclusion This Camaro COPO we have one here at Skyway Classics is very rare and desirable.
