| VW Thing, restored a few years back around 2014 from a completely rust free vehicle. This car is a lot of fun. It's in good shape and well cared for. Only blemishes, it has a scrape on the rear right bumper and paint damage where fuel leaked from the tank onto fender from overfill (front right). The vehicle came with a freshly rebuilt engine with under 2500 miles on it. I believe the newly reconditioned engine size is 1835cc as per the purchase paperwork when I bought it. It's allot of power for a light vehicle. It just had an oil and brake fluid flush and brake drums and pads cleaned and replaced where necessary. I've set this up more for road use, despite the looks, with sway bars front and rear, upgraded headlights, freeway gearing (gets up to 75mph with relative ease. comes with front disk brakes ($500 value - not installed). New front skid plate. New Brush bars. New vinyl roof and side curtains in bags. New roof rack with quick releases for fast removal. Has Heater parts but not installed. Seats near new (Sorry, left seat covers on in photos). The vehicle is kept in Big Bear, CA. | |
