| This Bug is in really nice shape. It’s a real head turner. It has been a California car up until 2017 which is when I bought it. The car underwent a major restoration in 1998. As you can see from the pictures, the paint is in very good condition but does have some minor scratches and imperfections. The pan is in great shape and very solid. You can see a picture of it.The interior was also updated at the time of the restoration with new upholstery and door panels. The headliner appears fairly new as well and is in excellent condition. The car was converted to 12V. All of the lights and horn work as they should. The original radio is in the car. I don’t know if it works – or is hooked up for that matter. A nice stereo was added under the dash as you can see in the pictures. The car also has a nice bamboo cargo shelf under the dash. The brakes were completely updated as well with all new rubber and hard lines. All the fuel lines were also replaced with new German lines. The tires are in great shape.The Engine has been replaced with a new dual port 1600 around 12K miles ago. The car runs perfectly. It sits sometimes for a few months over the winter and starts up immediately. The battery was replaced in 2018. The transmission shifts perfectly, and the clutch is new. You can drive this car anywhere without issue. The heat also works very well – which is rare for VWs. It’s a lot of fun to drive. I don’t know what else to say about this car. The person who buys it doesn’t need to do anything to it. Just get in, drive it and enjoy it.I am not looking forward to selling this car, however I must sell it because I bought a Split Window Single cab VW. I do not have the room for both cars, otherwise I would not be selling this car. I had my fun with it and I guess it’s time for someone else to enjoy it.The car is available for inspection at any time.
