1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Convertible Tribute. Condition is Used. Cruise, AC, 4 wheel Disc, 2014 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour Car #572. (Florida to Wisconsin and back) 21 MPG Top up, AC on. 98% correct Frame off Resto. Built from several SS Chevelle’s with a GM Build manual. Frame, Body, Title are 1971 Pontiac GTO and Pontiac “Sport Deluxe 400” (Fancy fully loaded GTO). Most of Car and Frame Dipped in POR15. (Brake, Fuel, Transmission Lines and Exhaust System are all Stainless Steel) 12 Bolt 3:36 Posi, Correct BB Fat Front and Rear Sway Bars, 4 Wheel Disc with adjustable Rear proportioning valve (Set)(Rear Brakes are ‘95 Z28, with factory aluminum calipers), Brand New 18X8 Torque Thrust 2’s, GoodYear AllSeason F1’s. Fatter tires on Rear, wheels same size. Detuned for daily driving (easy to turn up) Super Duty 4 speed Automatic Overdrive installed (old guy) or Muncie 4 speed, 4 speed pedals in car, Z-bar included. (2 not complete, in pieces Muncie 4 speeds included above $25,000),Rear Defrost with Heat added, Power Windows, Top. Engine compartment looks correct except intake and water pump. SERP ALT Belt, (for engine Safety when you stomp on it) all others are original style V belts. AMP Gauge converted to Vintage factory Camaro Volt Meter, looks very correct. Everything is New or was. Cruise mostly correct except Corvette bracket. (((Ultra Rare Original 4 speed shifter, Cross member and 4 speed Drive Shaft, Separate correct ‘71 LS5 Block, .030, PAIR 1970 SS 396 Convertible “Build Sheets” and BB Convertible Trim Plate, 3 extra Hoods(1st and 2nd design in rough condition, but fixable) (When sold at Buy Now Price only))) Tons of Details. Now the bad part, Car was ran into a ditch, front clip was replaced with all original GM metal including a BB AC right fender. Hood damaged was aftermarket, 2 or 3 damaged original hoods. I think one is a repop. Needs paint and some body work. Been driving it for years since I fixed it, BUT unfortunately took off hard from the light the other day, snapped the Nose off the Crankshaft(cast) only had 50,000 on it but it’s dead. I can install a new short block if sold at the buy now price. More pics and Details coming. The Car has both the Original Cruise control and an Aftermarket one also. I Needed the “Up” Speed button on long trips due to a medical issue. There is No Rust!. The Floor pan is Original except trunk, which is all new. Tubular Upper Control Arms/ A-Frames. Almost every thing is Painted and Coated in POR15, Powder-coated (Core Support, Fender Wells) or Stainless,(All line under car including the exhaust. This Car is built and designed to be here 100’s of years from now with regards to Rust and Durability. Inside and Out. Every thing is Rebuilt or new. Super Duty Transmission has 5 Pinion Planets, Front and Rear, with All the Best Parts there is. Pulled the Billet Servos out because I was driving it to work (for several years) to much tire barking. There are Boxes and Boxes of original parts that we’re never opened during the last restoration when it ran out of money. Top and Defroster switches have not been installed yet. Dash is NOT CUT, all correct with up grades, (Lighted Cig Lighter ring for instance) Been hunting parts for this car for 20 years, part # by part #. At $35K or above you'll need a U-haul and and car trailer. I have a correct 512 LS5 spare block. Intake that was shaved too much. And so and so.
