1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible34467 VIN Car (Real 442, not a clone)1 of 1300Saturn Gold (mostly original paint)#s Matching 455 Th-400 CarBlack InteriorBuckets/ConsoleSport WheelSport MirrorsPower TopPower SteeringPower Disc BrakesSSII WheelsW-25 PackageNo Rust/No Bondo...a 1 owner Tennessee Car when I bought it.I bought this car off of the original owner some time ago. A excellent, virtually rust free SURVIVOR. Mostly original paint (original stripes were repainted to W30 stripes back in the 70's. Not a speck of rust on the floors, trunk, doors, fenders...anywhere really. As rust free as it can virtually be!The car has a legitimate 35K miles on it. I bought it off the 97 year old original owner who bought it as a RETIREMENT present to himself. I added the spoiler...because, well I like it, and the original top was just too stiff after 50 years...so thats new. Mostly original exhaust. Gas tank has never been down.I rebuilt everything on this car that "needed to be rebuilt due to the passage of time. The brakes were completely rebuilt, carburetor, shocks, springs, filters...and even that pesky nylon time bomb timing gear was replaced. Those fail...fall apart, and end up clogging your oil pump...not good. Convertible top was replaced and pump replaced along with the cylinders. A/C was all rebuilt and blows ice cold.Interior is immaculate...and original (1971 date code on the seats)...they are still supple and look new. Carpet is even original. Car has been garage kept since new. I'd drive the car anywhere. Everything that could break has been gone through. This is whats called, a dead reliable...original survivor! Even has the factory W-25 hood lock. No, the Saturn Gold paint isn't perfect...its 50 years old...but will still win a trophy at your local car show.Car has a new set of 5 OEM reproduction tires.Car may be original, but everything that needed to be rebuilt, was! No leaks...queaks...drives only like a 1971 35K mile car should...perfect! What does it need? Nothing really....some of the weatherstripping is degrading...I'd replace some of the weatherstripping.I have much of the original selling paperwork, and various service records over the years documenting miles.A nice Cutlass CLONE is 30k these days...buy the real deal! eBay is full of a bunch of "Pig in Lipstick" Dealer Owned cars...freshly detailed turds....this car isn't that...its the beautiful woman with no make up!(630) 200-3860Car is for sale on other sites and auction will be ended in the event of a sale outside of eBay.Yes, I know these cars like the back of my hand. I know I forgot to take a under the hood pic..and I'll get one up...this thing still has the original paint on the motor! OAI air cleaner!I don't need the money...my wife is making me sell some of my toys...so the price isn't negotiable...it's worth every dollar. I'll be on vacation this Friday-Friday...but I'll get someone to go to the warehouse and get additional pics.I don't read eBay messages....if you are interested call me (630) 200-3860 442 - YouTube Video will open in a new windowUsing the eBay App?
