CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
About this vehicleThis 1963 Chevrolet Corvair is a modified vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. There is no actual title in the state of Rhode Island as they do not re-title cars older than 2001. The registration is clean and in my name. If your state re-titles you will have no issues registering. I may have the old title that was signed over to me but will have to look. I don’t know if I forced the registry clerk to give it back as they take them from you when you register with an out of state title. Seller's Notesengine was upgraded to a 140 hp motor from a 1965 Corvair by a previous ownerExteriorBidding on a 1963 Chevrolet Monza Convertible. she’s a real pretty car and runs decent. An engine from a 65 Corvair was put in and is now a 140 hp with a manual 4 speed. Still needs some work to be done. Mostly undercarriage bushings from what I can tell. Following list is the work just done. New clutch, pressure plate and rear axle bearings. Rear springs and shocks. New brakes, master cylinder and lines. New sending unit seal and lock ring. Top is three years old and tires are two years old and are the correct size. New rechromed front bumper. New convertible top boot to cover the top when down. Interior is original and drivers seat needs a recover. Rest of the seats in great shape. Rear seatbelts installed from Andover Seat Belt company and are period correct. Engine needs a proper tune up and carb adjustments. Car has a hard time starting. You need to pump the gas to get it going. I do have a video of it running so if you want to see it email me at [email protected] to get it as I can’t post it in the pictures. I do not need to sell so if I don’t meet the reserve it will not sell. Please ask questions or request more photos before bidding. I’ll be as honest and upfront as I can as I do not know the complete history of the car. I’m not a dishonest person and have owned more than a few Classic Cars.
