CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
This is my '74 Tii. I am not a dealer, this is one of my cars. The title is in my name and tags are current. I've done a lot of work to this car over the past year. I intended to keep it but I have 2 of them and I just don't need a pair of 2002s.The odometer shows about 88,000 miles. It sold at a Barrett Jackson auction in 2013 and was advertised with 86k miles and a rebuilt engine at 83 k miles. It went dormant after that until I bought it last year.I am including the Thule rack shown in the photos.I have recently done the following:New Sachs clutch kit installedDrive shaft and carrier bearing replacedTransmission output shaft seal, shift shaft seal and reverse switch replacedShifter rebuilt prior to re-installing the transmissionDynamat installed in floorsEsty carpet kit installedE21 Recaro seats and full interior from Aardvark Racing installedDash cap installed due to 2 cracks in the proper Tii dashFuel injection adjusted to specFresh Odyssey BatteryDoor, window and trunk seals are all new.The car was painted in 2013 and still shows extremely well. The body is straight and rust free. It was originally Malaga and now E21 Topaz. The motor was out of the car when the engine bay was painted. The glass, trim and all chrome were removed as well. The doors were removed so the jambs and inside surfaces of the doors are painted too.The car shifts, runs and drives out very well. It is running the original 4 speed with a numbers matching block and body. The cold start valve is a little wanky and needs to crank a bit before starting for the first time in the morning. Most people install a push button to activate the cold start valve but I haven't done that yet. The fuel injection pump looks to have been rebuilt at some time, it has updated fuel lines and is spotless. I assume it was rebuilt along with the engine at 83k Miles. The cooling system is clean and functioning as it should. In cooler temps the gauge stays in the 25% range. When it is hot outside it runs just below 50% in the temp range. Overall, this is a nice Tii that can be driven and enjoyed. It most definitely is NOT a project. If someone wanted to return it to the original Malaga color it could be an easy restoration to stock.Known issues: 1) The heater blower motor is not working. I have checked the switch and wiring. Power is getting to the blower motor but it does not run. 2) I do not have a key for the trunk. It is not locked but there is not a key for it. 3) The door locks are very stiff, so stiff that I don't use them. I have not tried to repair them.4) The windshield wiper motor only has 1 speed. 5) The right side trunk floor panel is missing. These are available and I think they cost about $100.Note: a new pair of trunk floor panels are available from Esty Carpets for $214.00 plus freight of $36.00.
