CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |
---|---|
This is a good project car that is a very desirable color combo and is a true GT 4 speed Fastback car. The metal work was already started by the previous owner who lost interest and decided to sell it. I stuck the interior back in the car and a few of the external body panels back on the car to make it more easy to see what is there and what is not and to ship the car, It appears the previous owner started at the rear of the car and started with a new tail light panel and trunk floors along with the short rear frame rail extensions. It has also had outer wheel wells and both quarter panel skins installed. He installed two long floor pans also. and 1 new seat riser. there is still work to be done on these and to the underside including torque boxes front and rear as well as work on the front frame rails where the front bumper braces bolt on. The car was raced in the past and someone welded brackets on the front frame rails for a tow bar. The GT fog light grill was missing so I put a good 68 grill with the car. I do not have the fog lights but they are pretty reasonable to buy reproduction. The windshield chrome is included the rear glass chrome is not included. The rear window and the windshield are just setting in place for you to see. They will be removed and wrapped up in blankets and shipped inside the car. Naturally the reproduction rear window shades will be done the same way. It does have a new fuel tank and pick up assy, but does not have the fuel and brake lines . I cant put enough pictures on the add to show all the areas on the car and I don't do photo buckets. I have restored lots of 67-8 mustangs and I will not lie to you to sell a car so the best thing to do is call me and I will tell you all about this car and will be glad to email you pictures of specific areas if you need them. Check my Feedback. please don't ask unless you are truly interested in buying the car. I done the same thing with the engine and transmission. I added some parts that were missing that I had and stuck it together just so you could see it and I will install it in the car for shipping. It came with the car and is not original to the car. It is a 1969 302 engine long block assy. with a 65 289 cast iron 4 barrel intake and holly carb stuck on it and new valve covers. I bolted the top loader 4 speed and bell housing to the engine for shipping but it does not come with a flywheel or clutch and pressure plate. It is a wide ratio small block 4 speed with a factory original shifter. It all needs rebuilt and as with all projects like this the car and the parts that come with it are all being sold as is . This is a project car that was started on and stopped in the middle; There are hood hinges and a few parts that were left out of the parts pictures so I laid them beside the engine. there are other parts in the background of the engine that is not part of this sale. The VIN tag in the windshield has been cut off at some time in the past (see pictures) The Ford VIN numbers are stamped on both inner fenders. The guy I bought the car from had a bill of sale only. I used the Ford VIN numbers to get a clear Tennessee title for the car that is in my name and it comes with the car. There was no door tag or buck plate tag with the car. I know these cars well and this car being a GT 4 speed car still has the duel exhaust reinforcement plates under the rear seat as well as the correct pinon snubber bracket on the frame. It does have what looks to be the original 9 inch rear end in the car. The rear leaf springs look shot and it has old school bolt up traction bars on it. The interior needs everything restored or replaced. The seats are recoverable but the tracks will need replaced. The Glass is all there. The headliner bows are there, It does have an original ford dash pad in it that may be usable There is one corner piece of the interior 1" molding that is missing. Oh yeah, there has been a door skin installed on the left drivers door and in my opinion they should have replaced the door. The regulator has been taken out and the bottom of the door is rusty and needs replaced. I did not have an extra drivers door or I would have included it with the car. The window and quarter glass has been secured inside door for shipping and pictures. Well its getting late and I have been as honest as I know how in describing the car, I am tired of typing and I am sure you have most likely got tired of reading. So please call with any questions before you bid. I will shoot you straight about this car. I do not take payments on cars, please don't start texting me and asking "what is bottom dollar" or asking questions that are answered already in the add. This will be a very sharp car when it is restored. the next to last picture is one that I sold last year that was presidential Blue with American racing wheels on it just so you can see the color. and the last picture is one of my 68s that many of you have seen around before in my pictures. It is not for sale. If you are interested in the car I have for sale and would like to talk about other parts or engines that could possibly come with this car you will have to call me. You know the way we all used to buy and sell these old cars to each other. We communicated. I guess I am still old school. Thanks for your interest. In a few days I will be listing other Ford performance parts so please check out my other adds as well. My phone number is 423-2seven 6-5334 Thanks Roy Grubb |
