Relishing due to a non paying bidder.Selling a 1978 Honda Civic CCVV hatchback 5-speed. This car was stored in a warehouse for several years, then was sold to an older gentlemen who stored it in his barn. The car is very original with the exception of a repaint sever years ago. It was painted back to the original color and is driver quality. The car starts and runs good and the transmission shifts as it should. At some point in its life, the gas tank was removed and a fuel cell was installed in the trunk. It looks to be installed correctly and works great. The body and floors are very solid with no visible rust issues. This would be a great car to restore or tune up and drive as is. The last couple pictures were taken in the barn where I purchased the car. E-mail with nay questions. On May-28-20 at 13:29:34 PDT, seller added the following information:Update. I have been getting a lot of questions about the Civic and wanted to make sure I was as clear as possible on the description. This car is a true barn find. It had been sitting for 4 years when I purchased it. I have drained the gas and put new gas in the tank and also added some carburetor cleaner. I have also installed all new tires with less than 5 miles on them. It starts and idles good and the transmission shifts like it should. I have only driven the car around my subdivision and it runs fine. I would not want to put this car on the interstate and drive 6 hours as it needs to be gone through like any other car that has been sitting for 4 years. The body is solid with no rust through anywhere. This is a great example of an early generation civic and one that would be amazing with a little work.
