| 1968 Beaumont Custom Convertible (Made in Canada) - Beaumonts are factory GM cars made in Canada using Chevelle body, drivetrains and interiors (except dashboard/gages which are GTO/Tempest/Lemas from the factory). Beaumonts have their own trim packages and the grill and tail lights are one only year for 1968. According to my research, the GM VIN number series is "Pontiac Canadian Modles" (70000 series), however, there is also a lot of information out there that Beaumont is its own stand alone Model (do your own research). Notwithstanding, the Beaumont has always been associated with Pontiac as they were sold by Pontiac dealers and have similar marquees as the Ponitiac arrowhead. This Beaumount is titled as a Pontiac. Wikipedia has a lot of information on Beaumonts. From my research there were only 350 Beaumont Convertibles Customs with 327 ever made, I guess not much demand for convertibles in Canada. Needless to say there isn't many convertibles in this condition that have survived. This car went through a complete frame off restoration in the 90s. Recent refreshments include new carpet, bucket seat backs, door panels, trunk matt and detailed engine. Motor is a NOM 350 (dressed as a 327 which originially came with the car). Motor was rebuilt right and tight, no knocks, smoke or weird noises. Automatic, PS, PB. Body and paint are in great shape but not a trailer queen, I would say excellent driver quality. Looks to have been painted many years ago and done right. Solid floors and trunk. This car was in 2 magazines in the 90s, which come with the car. A lot of paperwork, including multiple appraisals, bidder with pictures of rebuild, Beaumont Sales Broachurde and some kind of build sheet/production card that shows this car was originally sold in Sault Ste.
