Time Capsule from the late 1960's This matching number 1969 Road Runner was recently repainted recently had its the first repaint since new as the paint was too worn to be considered a survivor. Fresh Sunfire Yellow paint was applied over the arrow-straight body. The black vinyl interior is in excellent condition and restored to original configuration. With window sticker and build sheet along with Lion's Drag Strip time slips, this car has incredible history and still sports racing slicks just like race day. The original rebuilt 383 engine and 4-speed manual transmission come with this very original car, the racing engine, built but legendary racer/engine builder Bob Lambeck, and components still in place. .The Bob Lambeck-prepped 440cid engine was a regular of the Lion Drag Racing circuit. Few cars sport the muscle car racing history of this Road Runner than has 51 years of experience. The car is in great condition currently with all systems we worked to original style configuration.Interior headliner required some redoThe car runs hard and is the perfect street-strip vehicle. The new paint (already completed) and a set of Magnum 500's (you do the work here) would make this the super strong street cruiser. For car show prep, just finish and install the included 383cid long block engine, original 4-speed/clutch system and head to the local show. |
