Killer 1978 Firebird Trans Am! I purchased this from the family of the previous owner, It sat in the garage for many years until the previous owner passed. At some point he swapped the motor for another for another 403 6.6l, although the family was unable to provide any reason for the swop or additional info about it... This is a really solid base for a light Restoration, or a perfect daily driver. I've done a lot of maintenance and upgrading to make this old bird roadworthy over the last couple of months. What I’ve done so far:- Brand new rebuilt Rochester carb - brand new rebuilt 700r4 Transmission w/ warranty - a/c system recharged - new rear tires on Racing Mags - new Sound System- Alpine Deck - Alpine and Focal speakers, amp and woofer in trunk. Sounds Amazing! - all fluids flushed, all filters changed. The original Paint is in pretty good shape, it has has some spots throughout that need attention, mostly on the plastic bumper pieces. Cleans up nice. No major dents. No rust or anything like that Interior is fair original condition, some signs of wear, nothing too bad, last owner permanently covered dash with leather pad, a nicer one, and it presents well. Needs a new A/C duct piece passenger side beneath glove box. Passenger seat has two small hole that were previously patched. foam in door panels is starting to soft in spots, the armrests need new mounting hardware. Mechanically, she's running right. The new carb + New 700r4 Transmission with OD makes it a blast to drive, especially on the interstate. Barks tires easily if you're into that. Brakes will need new pads soon, they just started to squeak every once in a while. All in all its a great little survivor and tons of fun to drive. Would be easy to out a little love into the interior and make it an investment piece... or drive it as-is like I have been doing and enjoy the hell out of it!
