1969 Camaro SS X66 This car was said to be 1 of 311 built with the aluminum headed 396 L89 option, the family I purchased it from stated that, it's hard to know exactly unless further research is done. At the very least it was an L78, it has the correct tachometer, correct fuel line, matching numbers M21 with the original vin, correct 12 bolt posi BV code 4:10's, correct big block cross member, was told the original shifter (not ball), correct heater box, correct brake booster, front disc brakes ( I changed the right caliper just to get it stopping) I have the original caliper and master that came off of it. The car is in great shape for the year, it does need some quarter work although not much in my opinion. I have the original hood that was cut for a blower so I found a cowl hood just so it looked decent. The original SS hood goes with it along with the lower windshield trim and bell housing. Someone drilled holes for a rear spoiler so I removed it, wasn't original as this was a non spoiler car. It's a frost green upper and lower with a dark green interior which is original with a few mouse holes in the headliner. The rest looks original almost all there. It has a 355 that was built for a blower that I got running and driving, it does that the original big block frame mounts still in it, a bunch of washers accommodated the small block, not anything I'd do but it works. This is definitely an amazing find having a lot of the original stuff just not the engine unfortunately. All the lights and signals work as the car does run and drive. The exhaust is all together yet nothing special just to make it work, it was on there. Anyone is welcome to inspect the car prior to making an offer. The car was painted black and has some dings and scratches, it sat for many years! Its missing the original dash pad and original carpet. For more information please call 203-415-8589, thanks. |
