We are offering this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T resto-mod. It is finished in beautiful Plum Crazy Purple basecoat/clearcoat with a complimenting black OEM style interior. This is a nice older complete restoration that still presents itself very nicely. The owner who restored the car purchased this original U-code 4-speed RT with the intention of making it an exact Hemi replica and he did just that. He started with a 1968 426/425 horsepower engine and had Universal Automotive of Las Vegas rebuild the elephant motor. He had the car restored using all correct hemi parts. The car was originally completed in the mid-90s and was shown, enjoyed, and featured in Mopar Muscle magazine issue 75 in 1997, which comes with the car. The recent owner purchased the car in the mid-2000s and enjoyed it as an exact Hemi replica until 2018. He then decided to do some resto-mod upgrades to make it more enjoyable and driver friendly. These upgrades include CVF serpentine belt system, coated long tube headers with side exit T/A style mufflers and tips, RMS AlterKation front suspension K-member and RMS Street Lynx 4-bar rear suspension that includes power rack and pinion steering, tubular upper and lower control arms, 1.25-inch front sway bar, Viking Performance adjustable coil overs on all four corners, Dana-60 3:55 posi-trac rear axle, Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes, Tremec 5-speed transmission with pistol grip shifter, and YearOne 17-inch custom retro style Rallye wheels with Nitto Extreme Performance radial tires 225/50/17 front and 255/50/17 in the rear. If you want a cool, great driving and performing E-body, Hemi powered resto-mod, you’ll definitely want to check this one out. You are welcome to inspect the car anytime during the auction. You can fly into XNA regional airport to take a look. The payment must be made within 7 days of auction's end and payment must be made with wire transfer or cash in person. We reserve the right to end the auction at anytime and there are no written or implied warranties. Please email with any questions or to see a walk around running video. Thanks for looking. |
