CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |

Probably the rarest of all Crosley cars. This is 1 of only 358 Crosley Hot Shot Super Sports made in 1952, which was the last year of Crosley production. Not many are left. This is an older lovingly done restoration by an elderly Crosley Club member who has passed. I bought the car from the estate to add to our collection. Rust free and every part restored. Since we have so many cars however, I have not driven it more than a mile or two and it is just sitting in our garage. I was thinking my wife would enjoy driving it since she likes small cars ( she has a Metropolitan Convertible and Nissan Figaro ) but like me, the older she gets the less she wants to drive a manual transmission. So rather than having the car sit and collect dust we are selling it. As the car was restored a dozen or so years ago, it still shows very nicely but it is not 100%. There are a couple of very small paint chips on the front hood panel from driving the car over the years but they are too small to show up in photos. The car could use a good detail and cleaning and the bumpers polished but I haven't noticed anything other than that. All the fluids have been flushed, the car tuned up, new tires in the last year. You can see by the last picture on the page, we are cramped. In addition to 4 cars in our two car garage, we have storage units with the rest of the 30 or cars we own so no, we do not want anything in trade at all. Having some extra room to open a car door is actually the goal here. As this is a 67 year old car, it is being sold as is , where is, with no warranties. |
