I'm relisting my Challenger because you know why...In the future please check with your better half. OK...For sale is my 1970 Dodge Challenger SE refinished in its original Mopar high impact color “Sublime”. It’s equippedwith a 727 automatic transmission, 3.23 Sure-Grip rear differential, manual front disc brakes, power steering, AM radio, Wood wheel, a fully functional (except clock) rally dash gauge cluster and rides on 14” Mopar Road Wheels with 205-70R-14 BFG Radial T/As. Car was originally an A/C car and most all of the original components have been remove. It does however still retain its working heater controls and has more recently a new heater core, water temp control valve and cable. The car started out as a 383 2 barrel with single exhuast. It now has a rebuilt to stock specs 1972 340 with a Thermo-Quad 4 barrel, electronic ignition and dual exhaust exiting factory chrome tips. Engine and driveline runs strong and has no strange noises or real fluid leaks of any kind. The interior is in excellent condition. With newer reupholstered front bucket seats, newer carpet and headliner. The rear seat is original with only a few superficial nicks. No rips tears or split seams. Dashpad is original with 2 small splits at apposing corners of the speaker grill. (One is maybe ¾” and the other is maybe a ½”) The headliner is newer and was replaced during the refreshing. Door panels, rear side panels and console are all in excellent shape. The R/T badging, bulge hood and blacked out grill and tailpanel were all added for that more muscular look. Hey, everyone loves an R/T!!! The R/T badges are held on with adhesive. The body is rust free both up and down. With solid floors, frame rails and trunk. It has great door, hood and trunk shut lines as well as good glass aside from some scratching on the rear. The Sublime color paint shows really well. It does however have flaws from what I feel was poor paint preparation. Don’t get me wrong, car looks great and shines like crazy...wet looking. It’s just not what I consider a show quality paint job.The only areas I see with some minor pimpling is at the front lower portion of the passenger door and around the rear filler panel at the vinyl top. (See photo) Also, like most all 50 year old cars is looks to may have had some patch work done to the rear quarters both forward and rearward of the wheels. The inner quarter drop downs of both sides are still solid and showing the drain plug holes. (See photos) The black vinyl top shows real well and is in good condition as well as most all of the bright work, grill and tail panel. The bumpers are super straight but the chrome has some patina and shows their age. In the trunk there’s a newer mat and a new spare tire on a rally wheel along with all of the original jack components. I guess that covers it pretty much. But I’m sure I forgot things. So with saying that, here’s my cell number below so you can call/text me to ask any questions you might have or for any additional photos.
