CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
More photos tomorrow! This 1974 MGB roadster has just finished the last phase of a comprehensive engine-out restoration. Engine, ignition, carburetors, fuel pump, clutch, transmission, bushings and other suspension work carried out by John Twist and his team at University Motors in Grand Rapids, Michigan about 10 years ago. See John on YouTube! The car received a professional lead-lacquer paint job at that time as well, which included new floors, plus restoration of the engine bay, trunk and door sills. This was high quality work. The finish is excellent. Unfortunately, the previous owner passed before completing the interior and the car went into long term storage. Two inactive owners later, I acquired the car and finished it. New carpet, door panels, steering wheel, shift gaiter, and more. Seats were done by Baker Auto Interiors in Muskegon, Michigan. New exhaust components and a new aluminum radiator was added. New exterior striping. The car rides on remanufactured OEM wheels and like new tires. I’m picking the car up tonight from MG restoration specialist Rusty Moose Garage in Grand Haven, Michigan. Forrest Johnson and his group just serviced multiple components to get the car road ready. This includes a fresh overhaul of the twin OEM carburetors, (the Weber pictured was defective and is gone!), a distributor rebuild, tune-up, new ignition coil, new heater valve and more. SELLERS NOTE - this was not a frame off restoration but rather a high quality driver level restoration. The frame is SOLID. I only have recent records, however, John Twist was able to verify that the car was in his shop in 2009. Priced at $7,500 or something resembling a reasonable offer. Runs and drives great. Thanks.
