This is a 1959 Edsel Villager, built in Louisville, KY, in overall very good condition. It has an automatic Mile-O-Matic 2 speed transmission and the 332 Express V8 engine in very good condition, running well, and power steering. This car starts, shifts, and drives well. It has some very light wear to the paint, which was redone about 5+ years ago. The new paint color matches the type on the car's data plate. It was originally dark green w/ white roof. The car is currently driven and has current license plates. I've driven it up to 50 miles round trip with no issues. The listed mileage is a guess, as though the odometer says "03540" I'm assuming that it's rolled over at least once, possibly twice. I am, I believe, the fourth owner and I was told that it's only rolled over once, for what that's worth. Please see the good / bad lists below. It is not perfect, but it can be driven now, it looks good overall, and will not require a great deal of work to make it a possible show car.The good:-Can be driven right now.-Starts & Drives well; engine has been well maintained.-Shifts well between gears.-Brakes work fine.-Has standard lap seat belts for the front seat (not original; added aftermarket).-No rust holes.-Seats covers have been replaced, and are in excellent condition.-Carpet shows some mild wear, but is still very presentable.-All dash lights and gauges work.-All external lights work.-All windows roll up / down without problem.-All doors and tailgate lock / unlock and open / close without problem.-Most glass in excellent condition.-Comes with a large selection of spare trim pieces and spare parts for a 1959 Edsel, including a spare tailgate handle bar in fair condition (better than the one currently on it).-Comes with a spare set of original Edsel hub caps in good condition.-Comes with original style jack and one spare wheel (no tire on it).-Most trim is in very good condition.-Grill area and front bumper are in very good condition.-The dash is solid and looks good.-Comes with a model-specific fitted all weather cover from carcovers.com.The bad:-The power steering acts up. The wheel tries to turn left, even when parked. It is easily controlled and does not effect driving; just two fingers is enough to control the steering wheel when driving. It is not a frame issue. System has been taken apart and rebuilt twice, but still turns. Again, does not effect driving, but is noticeable.-Two windows, both door windows on the driver's side, have cracks running through them. See pictures. Windows still function fine.-No headliner. It is ready for installation of one, though.-The door handles, side rear view mirror, and tailgate handle area, are heavily pitted, and will need replacing or work to rechrome.-Rear bumper has been cleaned and then painted silver. Needs rechroming.-Chrome on dash area has minor pitting.-The radio lights up but does not work.-Some light surface rust in the spare tire well, a few spots of surface rust in a couple other areas. No serious pitting or holes though.-The rubber sealing the tailgate area leaks in rain, allowing water into the tailgate area; will need the seal replaced, or to be stored under cover. The all weather car cover that comes with it keeps the car perfectly dry.-The front door panels are labeled "Ranger." This is a Villager.Buyer is responsible for coordinating & paying for shipping.
