| 1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser Thank you for viewing my listing on this great driver quality example FJ40. This 1978 example has recently had a some service work to make it ready to go for the next owner. The list of recent service work in the past 2 months includes: -Head gasket replacement along with head cleaning/resurfacing -Carburetor Rebuilt and cleaned -Oil Pan Replaced (oem toyota)-OEM Radiator and cap-All oil and fluids replaced with filters -Newer Tires -Newer Shocks -Newer Brakes -Newer Suspension bushings -Rebuilt Alternator using OEM core. -New Head light switches (oem toyota) -New Steering Column Cover (oem toyota) -New Radiator Hoses -Professional Detail This great looking FJ fires right up, idles, and drives great. Shifts well without grinds or hesitation. Accelerates nicely and drives as this classic should given the big tires. There are maybe 50 miles on it since all the service work was completed a couple weeks ago. Time to move on to a new owner. You are getting a great platform with little to no rust present. Solid frame and floors. Please review all photos as there are several under carriage shots. The paint presents nicely and shines up really well. The interior seating was completely reupholstered along with some custom Toyota logos on stitching. The seats are comfortable and supportive. Couple minor items of attention are presently the speedometer is not working due to needing a small plastic gear in the differential needing replacement and the intake scoop/rubber hose off the intake assembly is missing but does not affect anything, can be found here on ebay or craigslist. There is also a slight exhaust leak present. The fj40 will be sold TMU due to low digit odometer as many classics are. Tires and brakes have very little miles on them and the new owner will not have to do any maintenance to enjoy this FJ40 for many miles to come.
