Instead, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Pro Street is a dual-quad big block supercharged machine that can eat up any asphalt from the boulevard to the dragstrip. The fact that this professional build also happens to be made from one of your favorite classic American sports car icons is just the cherry on top. We love a '69 Camaro because it has an iconic look, and this one has the crisp lines of a solid investment. It even has the desirable features, like the Z/28 badging and Rally Sport hidden headlight package. But while it has the right vintage fundamentals, you can also instantly see this one was custom-built for intimidation. The color is called Inferno Orange, and it radiates red hot. And the racing stripes not only look terrific, but also they are done in an aggressive Switchblade Silver. Plus, there are so many ways this one announces it's a very professional and serious street-eating machine. The tall cowl hood still can't contain the full beastly motor. The rear was tubbed and the openings stretched to fit the massive Mickey Thompson rear rubber. And with both wheelie bars and a drag chute in back, it's impressive that you can still hang a license plate on the rear. The interior gives you a few nice concessions, like power windows and a cup holder center console so that it can pretend it's an all-purpose machine. It all even has the kind of fresh look you want in a well-done classic. But really, we all can see from the first glance that this is a professional-grade setup. You get a full custom safety cage painted to match the exterior silver stripes. You and your passenger strap into bucket seats with full RJS racing harnesses. Toggle switches, a B&M ratchet shifter, and a full AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauge package puts a very speedy package firmly in your hands. Under the hood is a true beast. And because everyone will want a look at this motor, they made sure it's always ready to show off thanks to a ton of polished components. But what you'll really love is all the substance behind the style. The motor was built by Gary's Machine Shop in Tucson. They started with a 454 cubic-inch big block bored to 468ci total. And while that's a monster displacement, you instantly spot the twin Holley 750 four-barrel carburetors that feed the awesome BDS Racing 8-71 blower. Plus, the V8 has been built to be a fortified unit to work well with the force-fed power. It includes Speed Pro pistons, ARP bolts, Pro comp aluminum heads, Scorpion Racing roller rockers, Herbert hydraulic roller blower cam, a Milodon 7 qt oil pan, and Doug's long tube headers. It has all the right supporting components you want, too, like upgraded pulleys, an MSD pro billet distributor, an aluminum radiator with electric fan, and a separate trans colder. The mighty motor fires up with that cool growl and whirr combination that tells everyone you have supercharged V8 power. The TH400 is a Hughes Transmission unit with 3000 stall, and it feeds a limited-slip 9-inch rear end with 4.56 Richmond gears for confident and powerful takeoffs. Power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, beefy ladder bars in the rear, and QA1 coilovers complete a well-done professional package. This is such an all-around stunner, that the sale even comes with a magazine article and a ton of awards already won. So if you love an icon that was built to burn up the asphalt, call today!
