1966 Ford F-100I purchased this truck in 2012 and took it down to the frame. Hired out the body/paint work, the engine overhaul, and the wiring. Did most of the rest of it myself with the help of my son (who is now in college, which, it turns out, is quite expensive). Odometer read 98,300 when I bought it. I have no idea of those were original miles or if had been around once. Odometer currently reads 1,876, so I’ve put under 4K miles on it since it came back together in 2013. It’s been garaged kept, and only driven in agreeable weather. I’m in Texas, and this truck does not have A/C, so that alone kept me from taking it out too much. Overall, it runs, drives and handles as well as one might expect from truck with no power steering or power brakes of that era. It’s safe, though, and the stick makes it fun to drive. Inspection is valid through September 2020. Clear title in my name in hand. I can’t ship it to you, but I’d be happy to cooperate with the shipper you hire to deliver it to you.1. Frame: Treated with POR15. Original leaf and spring suspension. New shocks. 2. Under the hood: 352 V8. Bored at .4 and rebuilt by Cook Auto/Machine in Bryan, Texas. Edelbrock 4-barrel carb. My GPS tells me that 40 MPH on the gauge = 65 MPH on the road. Needs a headliner; I bought one once, tried to install it, and destroyed it and my self-confidence in the process. 7. Wheels: Tires are Sigma Shadow from WalMart. They were installed in 2013 and have about 4K miles on them. Original hubcaps have been painted. New wheel bearings all the way around.8. Bed: Treated pine. Stained. Clear coated. Locking toolbox from Tractor Supply. 9. Paint: Rangoon red exterior with Wimbledon white interior. At close inspection, you’ll find a few chips in the paint, but only atclose inspection. Overall, the photos are a good representation of how it presents on the road. You’ll get the thumbs up. A woman recently walked up to me at the gas station and said, “I don’t know. This truck just makes me smile.” 10. Miscellaneous: New wiper motor. Fuel tank has been moved from behind the seat to under the back of the bed; tank was purchased from CJ Pony (made for a 66 Mustang).
