CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1972 Chevelle SS: Great solid car that needs a Full Saturdayworking in the garage with the buddy to make it 100% road worthy. I considerthis as a “survivor” It has the 350 “J” Code engine and auto transmission. Itis auto in the floor with console and tach in the dash. It has bucket seats, aircondition and all parts or present and appears to be in good condition. The airconditioning actually works but I believe it needs a charge. It has the discbrakes option. I have already ordered the new air shocks and they are includedin the sale because they have not been installed yet. It presently have airshocks on it and they might be original but do not hold air so I decided toreplace everything and not just the air lines. I have had the car parked in mygarage for over a year and have not touched it. I have a copy of the previousowner (owned it for 20 years) Georgia title and the new title in my name also. I actually have a new Georgia Title for thiscar, which is clear and in my name. I’m notinterested in no other muscle cars unless a 1970-71 455 Olds 442, 1969-71 Torino Cobra 428/429,or 1971-1972 Q/R/J or C Code Mach 1. ENGINE: The engine runs great but I suspect it needs a tune up. Mostlyeverything under the hood is original. I’m listing the vehicle as the original matchingnumbers car because I see the numbers on the engine. Although the car is notregistered I did drive it when I bought it and it drove and shifted as itshould; however, the carburetor was flooding so I bought a new Rochester carb withthe same carb number and the original carb will also come with the car. The previous owner put headers on it and theoriginal exhaust manifolds are not with the car. The exhaust looks to be ingood condition except for the right muffler which have a big hole in it. Valve covers do leak and need replacing.TRANSMISSION:I believe the transmission to be original and it shift great as it should.BODY: Thebody is in great condition with the only rust hole is in the very lower passengerfender (easy patch). Trunk floor is basically perfect. Not even surface rustjust discoloration from the trunk pad. The overall vinyle roof is greatcondition. A couple little bubbles at base of bottom rear window where trunk panel connects...very minor surface only. Top of right fender has some surface rust (odd place)see picture. See under inside where speakers are located...rust free.INTERIOR: Theentire interior is in overall great condition and I believe the seats wereredone once in the past. The dash pad is original and perfect, all gauges worksperfect (except clock), including tach. Rear window defogger does not come onbut I assume a fuse or connection because everything is present.TIRES/WHEELS:The wheels are rare and original and tires have plenty of threads on them butin my opinion there is some cracking in some areas so should be replaced soon. Also include 2 more original wheels in the trunk with like new tiger paw G60tires I believe.GLASS: Allglass is in nice condition with no cracks. All windows roll up and downperfectly as they should. Exhaust: Original exhaust manifold gone and replaced withheaders years ago. Passenger muffler does have a big hole in it.BATTERY: It will have a good battery, but the red top battery in the picture will be only included if "Buy It Now is used"What I think itneed: Check/Changes fluids, belts, and tires as appropriate. Probably new tires and muffler and maybe tuneup.******I have a few more pics if you need it. The secondowner moved, his wife was sick when he sold me the car last year and he could not findall the papers for the car, more of those papers provided information on the fact that this is a True “SS”. Any true SS owner will look at this vehicle and immediately knowthis is a true “SS”. Call Dan at 315-813-3307only for serious questions, more pics or if you would like to see a copy of the “Chevelle SS”title which clearly documents it as a Chevelle SS. I also have a copy of the previous owner title where he kept the car for over 20 years too.
