A suitable car was needed, and the obvious choice was the Pontiac Trans Am. The Tirebird-Firebird moniker was a no-brainer as a result. BFG commissioned T/G Racing to perform the conversion of the six Trans Ams into their promo vehicles. Originally, each was equipped with Pontiac's H.O. 455 CID V8 and a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission. When its second owner, Tom Senter, purchased it from BFG, the 455 was useless as a result of someone running it without engine oil; so Senter purchased an LS6 454 CID from Berger Chevrolet in Michigan, which remains in the car today. Its fourth owner, a California real estate agent, installed an automatic transmission and converted the 4BBL carb to a 2BBL so his daughter could drive it to school. This car went through a few color iterations, until its current owner found the car, and wanted to restore it to as close to original condition as possible, so he had it repainted in the original Tire Bird livery. The commitment to purchase is not contingent upon inspection, financing, or any other terms. Full payment is required within 7 days of offer acceptance, unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said time frame, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered void. We accept wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears), ACH, credit cards (for the agreed deposit amount only and will incur a 3% fee), and in person cash payments. We also offer vehicle financing, please inquire for details prior to making bids/offers. PayPal is not accepted. VEHICLE RELEASE: Signed purchase packet which shall include but not limited to the purchase contract, cleared payment in full, and a copy of your driver's license will be needed before the vehicle is released. Fees and Taxes Sales tax, title, license, registration, document fee, finance charges, and SMOG testing fees are in addition to the final purchase price. Buyer is responsible for said fees. A $397.63 document fee will be added to the purchase price. All credit cards are charged a 3% fee.
