CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Hello, how are you today? I am selling a 1968 Oldsmobile cutlass 442. This car is an original 442, in its original red color, with red interior. This car was owned by the same person since 1984, this was a personal friend of mine. The title says 1990, due to his parents switching it to his name after having it in theirs for 6 years. The car itself has 90,000 original miles on the body. In 1990 when he switched registration the vehicle had 50,000 as documented on the title. This car runs and drives great! The car does not have the original engine in it anymore. I do not have the original engine in it, and do not know where it is. The car now has a freshly built 1971 455 in it. The engine is bored .30 over, and has a decent sized cam in it. The car has the original 12 bolt rear, but the gears have been changed to a 3.73 ratio, also it has a fresh th400 transmission in it. When the engine was replaced we added stainless headers, a 2 1/2 inch exhaust, with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, it sounds AMAZING! This car is a pleasure to drive! It drives nice and straight, is not a rattle box, and handles very well! For most of this cars life it was kept indoors, and well maintained for. The car was repainted sometime during the 90’s. I would honestly give it’s paint and body about a 6 on a scale of 1-10 it is an older restoration so it is showing some signs of age. The car looks great going down the road, and is very presentable. As pictured the underside is in nice shape, along with the trunk. The interior is mostly original, it has some signs of age but it is complete, and does not smell like mice, or mold, and could easily be made nice! The car was built in Canada, shipped to a dealer in Boston, then sold to some down south, then from there it came to Massachusetts in 1984. The car is a lot of fun to drive, it is very streetable! This car pulls pretty hard, you shift at about 3000 RPMS and it will make you giggle. 😀 This is a great car for someone looking for a nice driver! 1968 442 is not an easy car to come by, obviously if it was in excellent shape it would be $30,000. This is a great opportunity to own one for under $20,000 that runs and drives great, and you can enjoy as son as you get it home. I have a walk around video of the car, which I am happy to share! I can be reached at (413) eight two two-16five eight I am located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts 01201. I am located on a major route so loading is not an issue, and I am happy to help a shipper get it loaded. If you have any LOGICAL REASONABLE questions please feel free to ask. I do not want any trades of any sort, I just want to sell the car.Thank you for looking!!Have a great day!Stay safe!
