This is a very original 1937 Packard 120 C convertible sold new at Thompson Motor Co in Beverly Hills January 16, 1937. I purchased this car from an estate in Southern California 3 years ago. The prior owner had the car for nearly 50 years. Always a California car the body is very solid with on minor surface rust, paint is faded and needs a new top. The massive straight 8 engine runs great and purrs like a kitten. The car has 3 speed manual transmission, second gear synchros are a bit weak but with a bit of practice it can be mastered. I recently rebuilt all the brakes, with new hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes and turned the drums, she stops remarkably well for an old girl. and carburetor was also rebuilt. The previous owner put in a new factory correct wire harness. She has the jump seat in the back so 4 people can ride in style. I have a clear and clean California title in my name and the car has both California black plates from 1968. She is a wonderful old car that needs a bit of love, super easy to work on, either a great candidate for restoration or a driver to have fun with. $750 Deposit is non refundable |
