If you are looking for a cool, classic, summer ride and don't mind a bunch of attention, then this is your ride. It is a 1972 Volkswagen Kombi with the Samba conversion. In the US, this layout was referred to as a "Sunroof Deluxe" or more informally classified according to the number of windows, so this is a "23-window" bus. The Samba has a huge fabric sunroof that makes your passengers smile. Restored from the ground up; this bus is pushed by it's original 1500 cc engine which was rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago. It runs and drives good, however it is 48 years old. Do not expect it to ride like a 2020 Yukon Denali. Comfortable max speed is 55-60 MPH. The body and paint shows nice but it is not perfect. The interior has been completely reupholstered and shows very nice. The transmission is original and shifts smooth. This bus creates magic energy! You can't help but smile while you cruise down the road with the all of the windows open.Caution!!! If you are an introvert and do not like to talk to strangers, this is NOT the vehicle for you!I am happy to accommodate test drives for qualified buyers. I am available about anytime from 8 am-9 pm MST to answer any questions. My name is Heather (307-752-6033.) The bus is located in Sheridan, Wyoming. I can assist with shipping if needed. |
