| 1965 Ford Thunderbird-VIN #5Y83Z126937-One owner car-California rust free chassis!-390 V8, automatic transmission-36,000 miles on odometer, cannot be verified as original miles-Power steering-Power brakes-New tires all around-Original keys-Solid, straight car with no rust other than surface rust in areas.Floor pans are solid as well as trunk pan.-Black plastic pad under trunk liner...NOT to be mistaken for rust in photo.-Fuel tank will obviously need cleaning or replaced.--This T-bird has sat in a pole barn since 1980. Last registered in 1980. From time to time, it has been started and driven around the property up until about 15 years ago where it sat unstarted and unmoved. The car is located in Burney, California, and is original to this town since new. Purchased new in Redding, CA. We recently bypassed the fuel tank with a gas can and an electric fuel pump and it ran surprisingly smooth! I had the wheels cleaned up and powder coated black and brand new tires installed all around. I also installed a new power steering pump. I bled the brakes and got a nice pedal. Understand this is not something you can just hop in and drive off. Will need new battery, fresh oil and filter change, fuel system gone thru, hoses are all old, ect. The title is nowhere to be found. A call to Calif DMV states vehicle has been dropped from the books and most likely purged from the system years ago. Car will be sold with a Bill of Sale and a Calif DMV Lost Title/Transfer of Ownership form.--Would make a great restoration project as car is complete, or do a basic reconditioning to make road ready again and drive as a daily driver!--We have looked high and low for the rear wheel skirts, and cannot find them. If we find them, we will ship to new owners. A quick search on Ebay shows used ones are readily available at a reasonable cost.--We found gas receipts from a former gas station here in Burney dated 1970!!--Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.--Located in Burney, CA | |
