| 1971 Mercedes Benz 250 Sedan Excellent Condition Tobacco Brown w/Cognac Vinyl Interior Cognac MB Tex # 140 Exterior DB 423 Tobacco BrownThis is a two owner car purchased new in Newport Beach California & driven locally all of its life. The car was transferred to me from the original owner who was a very close friend & neighbor when he & his family relocated to Northern California. The car has always been garaged & meticulously maintained throughout its life. It has always been located in California. The car runs great & is very reliable. The car repainted in 2009 to maintain its pristine appearance. It was done in the original Tobacco Brown color using the original paint materials including all original Glausrit Paint & clear coats. The body is very straight & the car has no rust. The interior is all original & in very nice condition. I have updated the ignition system to a Mercedes breakerless distributor system for reliability & eliminating the need for replacing distributor points as part of normal maintenance. The Air Conditioning Pump was replaced by a cylindrical pump providing less strain on the engine during A/C operation. I was unhappy with the column shift operation & changed the shift to the console shifter used in the later Mercedes models. This was a great improvement over the column shifter & provides for more driving comfort.
