Up for sale at this time is an absolutely gorgeous 1964 Corvette Stingray. +/- 48, 250 ORIGINAL miles. Car runs very strong...original 327, 4 barrel, 4-speed. I am selling this on behalf of a friend whose husband bought this back in 1974 and it has been in there family ever since. He has since passed away and my friend has decided (sadly) that it is time to part ways with "his baby." To the best of her knowledge, they were only the 2nd owner of this car and it SHOWS! I don't fancy myself a Corvette expert...not at all, but I have seen and worked on many examples of "restored" classic Corvettes and other early muscle cars and I can assure potential buyers that this one is "straight!" The car was meticulously refinished/restored about +/-15 years ago by R & M Auto Body in Round Lake, Illinois. Car was completely stripped, any minor gel coat/stress crack issues addressed and painted with acrylic enamel, which at the time was the best product around and is still better than most of the products today, in my opinion. To be clear, the car was in very nice shape to begin with, but the owner wanted it as near perfect as possible and spared no expense. Prior to paint, literally EVERY major suspension, steering, drivetrain, and interior component was replaced. Car has NEW Goodrich T/A's on Rally wheels. I apologize for the somewhat poor picture quality...lighting in showroom not the best and quite honestly the pictures do this car no justice. Any potential local bidders are highly encouraged to inspect the car in person at R & M Auto Body, Round lake, Illinois.
