1965 Belvidere 2 426 4 speed, One of only 380 built that year. 1800 of these were made 1965 but only 380 of them were 4-speeds like this one. It has power steering and 343 positraction. This is a strong running and driving car. In my opinion it does everything it should. I brought the car home and performed these services:SERVICED:disassembled drive train, went through engine, punched 30 over, cleaned the block, heads redone and magnaflux, crank shaft balanced and polished (did not need turning), original radiator recoiled correctly, flywheel turned, new center-force clutch, differential cleaned & inspected, installed sealed axel bearings, replaced recessed trunk pan; floor boards are completely solid, couple of small rust holes in rocker panels and left rear quarter, all rust neutralized and treated, trunk lid for some reason was replaced and some of the original light blue paint shows through; all original wiring and lumes under the hood, no spray paint was used on the engine cavity front of left fender had a mouse nest (see photo)NEW: cam shaft, custom built Ross pistons, main and rod bearings, fresh cam bearings, freeze plugs, gears and synchronizers in the transmission, fresh fuel system, all new brakes, shocks, and suspension components, new windshield and rear glass rubber, - - - As a collector of 45 years, I consider this car a great example of an original and classic car. It has never been cut up in any way such as headers, traction bars, or any other modifications whatsoever. this car was purchased from the original owner, totally unknown car, never publically offered for sale. It is an absolute must for anyone seeking an ultra-rare mopar muscle car. - - -To ice this cake of a car off, this car still has the original certi-card and services recorded on the inside of the glove compartment door by the dealer until 27k miles. This vehicle has all the boxes checked for desirability.* More photos of the underneath and Certi-card available upon request |
