Ive decided to part ways with this beautiful 1968 Corvette. This is a very nice clean straight car that will make somebody very happy. The car underwent an extensive restoration about 10 years ago. There has only been somewhere around 500 miles put on it since that time. The car comes with approximately $20k worth of receipts for mainly parts, materials and rebuilding of parts. The odometer shows rite at 50100 miles. I was told when I bought the car that it was believed to be original and I believe it to be as well. The car supposedly sat unused from the late 70's up until it's restoration began somewhere around 2008 judging by the dates on receipts thats came with it. The car is not a rattle trap, it's tight and solid. The original fuel tank is in the car but the tank sticker is long gone as is the original block and heads. The car is now running a 1969 corvette 427 engine casting number 3955270, also 1969 heads, casting numbers 3931063, GM aluminum winters intake 3947801, the quadrajet is the original 1968 7028210, fan is the correct 3955182, the muncie 4 speed is a close ration M21 casting number 3925661 also dated 1969.The car runs and drives perfectly. No issues. Ive driven the car about 100 miles since I've had it.The rear end was completely rebuilt, all of the drivetrain looks to have been gone through, the steering, suspension etc. Brakes are all new throughout. Again there are stacks of receipts for parts and services performed. Everything on the car works. Headlights go up and down with no issues, windshield wipers work as they should, the car has the correct AM FM radio in place and works great. turn signals all work, marker lights, dash lights, reverse lights, brake lights, hazards etc all work. I just replaced the turn signal switch in the column with a new one. Horn works, the telescoping wheel works as it should. All gauges work throughout. Heater works, cigarette lighter, parking brake etc.The car is extremely clean underneath. It was extensively disassembled when restored. The car was completely repainted in its original color code 992 Bronze. The interior is code 425 Dark Orange. It is a very attractive color. There are no cracks or damage to body that I can see anywhere. It doesn't appear to have ever been in an accident. All panels line up as good or better than new. Things like the bumpers were sent off and rechromed at the time of restoration. If it needed it, it got it. All weather stripping throughout the car is new. T tops fit nice and tight. The wheels are old Daisy's from probably back around the time this car was built. They are in perfect shape. Tires are as new as well. The side pipes/headers are obviously not original but look and sound perfect. Other than those and the tires wheels, this car is basically bone stock. Last week I replaced the battery with a new AC delco, changed basically every fluid and filter in the car, had it aligned and a few other things that it probably didn't need but did anyway. If you are looking for a nice clean turn key corvette that you don't have to do a thing to other than drive it, this might be what you are looking for. I know i'm leaving out a lot, but please feel free to get ahold of me and ask any questions you'd like. This car has had way way more professional work done to it than what i've mentioned. Im happy to take pictures and or videos of anything you'd like to see. The car comes with a clear title ready to go. Buyer is responsible for any shipping costs if thats the route you choose to go. I can recommend a couple of good shippers. you can reach me at 4062089405. thanks |
