You are bidding on my1977 Ford LTD Country Squire. I purchased this car out of themountains in California. It has a clean Colorado title. I drove itback from Colorado this winter to Ohio. The car is located inCincinnati, Ohio, about 25 minutes from the Greater Cincinnati-KY Airport ifthis is helpful. The actual mileage is unknown for a couple ofreasons. I bought it from the second owner, and I am skeptical to saythat it only has 25K miles on it; however, it does look pretty good. Theengine is not original, and I upgraded it to the 460 out of a very low mileage(40K) Mercury. The entire front end suspension has been rebuilt, the dash pad was re-done by Just Dashes, and it has had a lot of work to makeit mechanically sound again. Here is the good and the bad: The good: Ithas a smoking 460 V8, and as I said, I just drove 1500 miles from Colorado toOhio in December of 2019. The A/C was working, but read the badbelow. The car is very solid for being as old as she is, very little rust, and just starting because it was a western dry air car. The engine has aJEGS Racing Performance Carburetor on it. The most recent repairwas a new alternator and heater coil. Included in yourpurchase it two sets of pristine hubcaps. The ones shown are thestandard. I also have a set of turbines that have no dents and all theblack (they are near OEM perfect). I used them for car shows only. I havethree additional "lose and cry caps" that match the four on the car inthe pictures, and although they are not dented, they are not as nice. Italso comes with a bunch of spare hard to find parts, including two perfectreplacement headlight emblems. Spare parts include extra window motors, radio, clock, instrument cluster, two extra rims, etc. etc. The bad: Blowermotor is flaky to not working currently. I have not had time to diagnoseor repair. The gas tank gauge is off. The rear door is stickingwhen you try to open it opposite of the flat position. The car needs allnew door seals. Small tear in the headliner—seam coming apart in driver'sside seat (but not a rip). Carpet needs replaced. Clearcoat ispeeling. Sides are excellent shape. Start it up and drive ithome or bring a trailer or have it shipped. |
