Debuting in 1955, the Fairlane, named after Henry Ford's estate, represented the best in the premium automobile market. The Fairlane did very well and continued to do so through the 1957 model year that saw single headlights, a redesigned chassis, long sides and unforgettable tail fins. Just one look at this vehicle and it takes you back to a special age where the cars weren't just cars, but works of art. This vintage Fairlane 500 is wrapped in a two-tone combination of beige over tan, accented with gold inserts in its chrome side trim. A set of nearly new P215/75R14 Hankook Optimo radial tires enhance the ride and handling of this Fairlane 500 and large chrome bumpers on both the front and rear command respect from its road-sharing counterparts. Under the clamshell hood lurks what may be its original 292 CID V8, which provides the power through the 2-speed automatic "Ford-o-Matic" transmission. According to the body plate, a set of 3.10:1 gears in the pumpkin get the power to the ground.
