| About this vehicleThis 1988 Land Rover defender 110 is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives.Seller's NotesStereo just started working intermittently, I haven’t had time to investigate and fix.ExteriorThis is a Land Rover Santana, which was the Spanish version of the Defender 110. The previous owner bought it four years ago from southern Spain because of the dry (rust-free) climate there. After he had her shipped to the States, he made significant improvements such as an engine swap to the highly desirable 300TDI and a complete interior restoration, plus numerous performance upgrades.It is running just fine and recently passed the TX state inspection and has a new TX registration. In addition, most of the upgrades, swaps, repairs and service work was conducted by a certified Land Rover mechanic, with years of experience owning and working on various classic Rovers. The VIN posted above is incorrect. The correct VIN is SELBCML8AZ100511. eBay does not accept the 16 digit VIN numbers that classic cars from Europe can sometimes have.InteriorEngine and Drivetrain:• 300 TDI engine conversion - from a UK Discovery, reportedly with only 96,000 miles.
